Prof. Victor Davis Hanson of the Hoover Institution at Stanford will speak at Bucknell (date to be determined) in a forum on his book The Case for Trump. Prof. Hanson, also delivering a talk in the Questioning American Identities series on campus, will separately be interviewed by Bucknell faculty members on his book on the 2016 election and Trump’s presidency. Time and location for the book talk TBD.

A campus reading group will explore the book before his visit, during spring semester.

Prof. Hanson is a senior fellow in military history at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and a professor emeritus of classics at California State University, Fresno. He is the author of more than two dozen books, ranging in topics from ancient Greece to modern America. He currently is the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow in classics and military history at Stanford University‘s Hoover Institution, and visiting professor at Hillsdale College. Hanson was awarded the National Humanities Medal in 2007.
